Silly Stories

This book has heaps of short and silly stories and there are also poems. My favourite story is called The Singing Bank Robber, it is about a man who is coming home from work and his motorbike brakes down. Then he gets a stone in his shoe and it is raining so he had to limp home but he did not realise that he was been watched by 2 policemen. They thought he was a robber because he was carrying a cash bag. They got mistaken and relieved the person. They had a leak in the house. There are many more stories in this book.

Horrid Henry's Revenge

This book is about two boys called Horrid Henry and Perfect Peter. Perfect Peter always tells on Henry and he gets the blame but this time Henry gets Peter in trouble, FINALLY!!!! He tricks him into believing in fairies. Peter thought is was great. Their mum and dad saw Peter up in the tree and growled him. The family get a new computer and Henry wants to play games on it. He fixes a problem that his mum and dad cant fix because they are a little bit scared of computers. Henry fixes it and he wrecked up Peter's essay, dad's work and mum's spreadsheet. His mum and dad let him play the games he wants after he fixed the computer. Peter showed the essay to his teacher which was about her and the teacher got very mad at him and she called Peter's parents. He blamed it on Henry.

This book is about a mouse who runs a newspaper and his name is Geronimo Stilton. He has a sister, a brother and a nephew. Geronimo is so excited about Christmas he could hardly squeak. Benjamin and Geronimo were trimming the tree and eating lots of delicious Christmas Cheesy Chews. Geronimo tripped over his tail and ended up in the hospital. His mouse hole then caught on fire. Geronimo thought that this was going to be the worst Christmas ever.

This book is about a boy called Horrid Henry and he wants to go to his favourite restaurant but his parents make him eat his vegetables and Henry does not respond. He says that potato chips are healthy. He eventually eats his vegetables and his parents take him to his favourite restaurant. There are many other books in this series.

The Legend of Captain Crow's Teeth

This book is about 5 boys called Will, Marty, Donnie, HP and Bert. The youngest is HP and the oldest is Marty. They spend the long summer days swimming, building rafts and putting crabs in each other's shoes. Will was looking forward to the Sprats' Jig. It is a disco for children aged between 9 and 11 year olds. There was a rumour that the rock band U2 would be making a special appearance. Will could not sleep the night before the disco. His favourite story was The Legend of Captain Crow's Teeth. Marty's jaw dropped when he saw U2. Later on in the story HP gives up the baby talk.

Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets

There were two boys called George and Harold. They get into trouble alot. They have a mean principal called Mr. Krupp. They like to make comic books about their favourite hero Captain Underpants. They hypnotized Mr. Krupp and made him Captain Underpants. He obeyed. George and Harold accidentally used the Patsy 2000 (an invention by Melvin Sneedly) and the Patsy 2000 makes two dimensional pictures into three dimensional objects. George and Harold put down their comic and the toilets on the front cover came to life. They were fighting toilets and the toilets ate up all the teachers. Harold and George get some of the cafeteria food and put it in the toilets mouth. Captain Underpants defeats the toilets and the teachers were alive. Then Captain Underpants had to defeat the Turbo Toilet 2000. The Turbo Toilet 2000 gobbled up Captain Underpants but George and Harold made a character using the Patsy 2000 that could defeat the Turbo Toilet 2000. It did. They had saved the day.

Shipwreck on the Pirate Islands

This book is about a mouse called Geronimo Stilton and he owns the best newspaper in New Mouse City and it is called The Rodent's Gazette. He has a sister called Thea Stilton and she is very adventurous and enthusiastic. He also has a brother called Trap Stilton. He likes to go on holidays like Thea. Finally Geronimo has a cute nephew called Benjamin Stilton. They go for a vacation to the Pirate Islands. They end up getting stranded on the island and finally get home. Geronimo is really happy.

Dirty Bertie Pants!

There is a boy and his name is Bertie and he is very dirty. One time he challenged Know-All Nick to a dress-off. Unfortunately Bertie lost the challenge and had to go to school in his underpants!!!! How embarrassing!!!! Later on in the story, Bertie thought of a way to wear his underpants to school, simple, just wear his underpants under his pants!!!! He made Know-All Nick very angry. He also has a pirate party for his birthday but Richy Rich had a birthday on the same day. So his dog went to the pool and pooped in the pool and the kids hopped out of the pool straight away. Then Bertie said that he had real chocolate coins. Everyone went to his party.

Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants

There was a professor and his name was Professor Pippy Peepee Poopypants and he is an inventor. One time he invented a chart with all the weird names like Fluffy and Cheese ball. First you work out what your first letter of your name is and then you work out the first letter of your last name. Finally you work out your last letter of your last name and then that is your name. Professor Poopypants gets mad and tries to take over the world by shrinking the school.
Later on in the book, Captain Underpants makes the school its normal size and they defeat Professor Poopypants and save the world. I recommend this book.

The Kingfisher Football Encyclopedia

This is a really cool book. It shows you some drills and skills and famous players like Frank Lampard, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Raul. It also has famous teams including Liverpool, Manchester United, Spain, France, Brazil and Argentina. I like this book because it shows you classic goals from the team passing. I like the Brazilian goal when Alberto scored.

The Kingfisher Motorsports Encyclopedia

This book has many types of Motor sports including Formula 1, NASCAR, WRC and MotoGP. It also has some famous drivers including Ayrton Senna, Jackie Stewart, Jeff Gordon and many others. There are teams like Ferrari, McLaren and Renault in Formula 1 and Hendrick Motor sports in NASCAR. At the back it has the people who have won titles in the past years or since the series has begun. I like this book because it has the tracks and diagrams about the tracks.
