The Daily Telegraph Book of Formula One

This book contains news articles from 1950 to 2009 and I have really enjoyed reading it. Some of these news articles have heartbreaking news to tell but some of them can be very exciting like being world champion which for me would be a great achievement. Formula 1 started in 1950 and it is still present at this stage. Throughout the years, there has been many tragedy such as Ayrton Senna and Ronald Ratzenberger's death at Imola 1994 on May 1st. That is the latest death and the FIA (Federation International Automobile) have discussed the safety and the cars present on the grid in 2010 are much more safer than the cars back in the 80's and the 90's. I think we should be going on to the happy events now. In 2008 there was a title clash between Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton and going into the final race in Brazil, Massa was the title favourite to win on his home surface. In the middle of the race, it started to rain and everybody came in for wet tyres except for Timo Glock. Glock stayed out on drys to help Massa. In the end Massa won the race but all Hamilton needed was to finish 5th and he was 6th going into the last corner. Massa's family went wild until Glock made a huge error and Hamilton passed him with about 500 metres to go! Hamilton had won the title but to the disappointment of Massa's family and team, Massa went up to the podium crying and then e sobbed even more when the Brazlian National Anthem was played. Lewis Hamilton had beaten Felipe Massa by 1 point to be victorious in the 2008 FIA Formula 1 World Championship! Fortunately for Massa's team, Ferrari took home the Consrtuctors Championship so at least they had something to smile about.

Top Gear Best Bits Supercars

From a Bugatti Veyron to a Koenigseggeggegggg CCX. This book contains many of the worlds best ever supercars. Did you know that a Bugatti Veyron is faster than a Formula 1 car! Amazing! This book tells you about the car such as the country it was made in, type of engine, the power, maximum speed and a lot more. Jeremy is one of the Top Gear presenters and he has one of these supercars as his everyday car... the Ford GT. GT stands for Grand Tourer if you didn't know.

Top Gear Best Bits The Challenges

Three men. James, Jeremy and Richard are the hosts of Top Gear. In this book, they trek across Africa. They only had 1500 pounds to spend on a car. They had to get from the east to the west of Botswana. Eventually James was the winner but as usual... all their decisions on who is the winner ends in an argument. Another challenge was when they ha to make a convertible out of a boring carrier. In the end, it blew up in a million pound car wash! Sometimes they do some wacky challenges such as building a Robin Reliant Space Shuttle... but that was a big failure! You can watch Top Gear on Tuesday on Prime from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

Silly Stories

This book has heaps of short and silly stories and there are also poems. My favourite story is called The Singing Bank Robber, it is about a man who is coming home from work and his motorbike brakes down. Then he gets a stone in his shoe and it is raining so he had to limp home but he did not realise that he was been watched by 2 policemen. They thought he was a robber because he was carrying a cash bag. They got mistaken and relieved the person. They had a leak in the house. There are many more stories in this book.

This book was written by many authors.

I would give this book a 7.9/10

Horrid Henry's Revenge

This book is about two boys called Horrid Henry and Perfect Peter. Perfect Peter always tells on Henry and he gets the blame but this time Henry gets Peter in trouble, FINALLY!!!! He tricks him into believing in fairies. Peter thought is was great. Their mum and dad saw Peter up in the tree and growled him. The family get a new computer and Henry wants to play games on it. He fixes a problem that his mum and dad cant fix because they are a little bit scared of computers. Henry fixes it and he wrecked up Peter's essay, dad's work and mum's spreadsheet. His mum and dad let him play the games he wants after he fixed the computer. Peter showed the essay to his teacher which was about her and the teacher got very mad at him and she called Peter's parents. He blamed it on Henry.
